Costume Hire
All costume hire fees are strictly non-refundable.
Once hired items leave the store premises, the hire fee becomes immediately due and payable and no refunds or credits will be issued for any reason, including change of mind, event cancellation, incorrect sizing, or non-use of the hired items.
Exchanges for hired items may only be considered within 24 hours of collection and only if the items have not been worn, altered, or damaged.
Sales Items
In-Store Purchases
Masquerade does not offer refunds for change of mind on items purchased in-store.
Exchanges or store credit may be offered within 7 days of purchase, provided that:
- items are unused
- original tags remain attached
- items are returned in original packaging
- proof of purchase is provided
Items that show signs of wear including makeup marks, perfume or smoke odours, stretching, or removed tags will not be accepted for exchange.
Online Purchases
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, customers who purchase items online may return unused items within 7 days of receiving the order.
To qualify for a return:
- items must be unused
- original tags must remain attached
- items must be returned in original packaging
- the return must be initiated within 7 days of delivery
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Original delivery charges are non-refundable.
Items that show signs of wear including makeup marks, perfume or smoke odours, stretching, or removed tags will not be accepted for return.
Defective Items
If a product is defective, customers may return the item within 6 months of purchase in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
Masquerade reserves the right to inspect returned items before approving a repair, replacement, or refund.
Items that have been worn, altered, damaged, or improperly handled will not be considered defective.
Non-Returnable Items
Due to hygiene and safety regulations, certain items cannot be returned or exchanged once opened or worn. These include but are not limited to:
- wigs
- hats and headwear
- bodysuits or leotards
- pantyhose or hosiery
- contact lenses
- makeup or cosmetic products
- face gems or adhesive cosmetic items
These items may only be returned if they are defective at the time of purchase.
Return Tags
Items eligible for return or exchange must have all original tags attached.
Removing the return tag indicates that the item has been accepted by the customer and the item will no longer be eligible for return or exchange.
