Shipping Locations

Masquerade Costume Hire and Sales ships nationwide within South Africa.

We do not currently offer international shipping.

Customers may also arrange their own courier collection from our store if preferred.

 

Courier Service

Our primary courier partner is The Courier Guy.

Orders are dispatched using The Courier Guy unless the customer has arranged their own courier collection.

 

Order Processing Time

Orders are normally processed and dispatched on the next business day after payment has been received.

Delivery Time Estimates

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are as follows:

Johannesburg / Gauteng:
Overnight delivery.

Major Cities:
Approximately 3–4 working days.

Outlying Areas:
Approximately 3–5 working days.

Please note that delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary depending on courier operations.

 

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated as follows:

  • Flat rate nationwide shipping
  • Free shipping on orders over R1500
  • Overnight or express shipping is available and will be calculated at checkout

 

Areas Not Serviced by Courier

Masquerade reserves the right to cancel an order if the delivery address is located in an area not serviced by our courier, or if the courier’s special delivery cost significantly exceeds our standard shipping cost.

In such cases, the order will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued to the customer.

 

Local Collection

Customers may collect orders from our stores.

Bryanston Store:
Same-day collection is available for most orders.

Sunninghill Store:
Collection is normally available within 2–3 working days.

Shipping of Hire Costumes

Costumes for hire may be shipped to customers.

For shipped hire costumes:

  • The security deposit must be paid in full before dispatch
  • The hire period begins from the time the costume leaves our store
  • Hired items must be returned within 7 days of dispatch

Deposits will be processed within 7 days of the items being returned and inspected.

 

Courier Responsibility

Once an order has been collected by the courier, the courier becomes responsible for delivery.

Masquerade will assist customers in resolving delivery issues but cannot guarantee courier delivery times.

 

Lost or Damaged Parcels

If a parcel is lost or damaged during delivery, Masquerade will assist the customer in opening an investigation with the courier.

Replacement or refund decisions will be made once the courier investigation has been completed.

 

Incorrect Delivery Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

If incorrect delivery information is supplied, the customer will be responsible for any additional courier charges required to redirect or re-deliver the parcel.

 

Ordering for Events

Many customers purchase costumes for specific events.

We strongly recommend placing orders well in advance of your event date to allow sufficient time for delivery and possible courier delays.

Masquerade cannot be held responsible for delays caused by courier services.
